Who Can Participate?
The Paris Writers Workshop welcomes all adults seeking to improve their writing skills - newcomers as well as the more experienced. Courses and lectures are conducted in English, so a high degree of proficiency is required in persons for whom this is not their first language.
Workshops are limited to 12 participants. Places are allocated in the order that we receive registrations.
General Guidelines for Manuscripts
Note: Writers in Residence may have specific manuscript and page-limit requirements for their workshop. See their individual pages on this site for specific details.
- Submissions must be typed in a 12 pt. font, double-spaced, single-sided and unstapled. Margins should be 2.5 cm wide.
- Your name and a page number must appear on each sheet of the manuscript.
- Prose manuscripts excerpted from a longer project should include a one-page synopsis.
- Poets may submit from 3 to 6 poems for a total of 10 pages. Each new poem should start on a new page.
- Manuscripts may be used by the Writers in Residence in class as material for discussion and for individual consultations. Participants must bring enough copies of manuscripts to distribute to all members of their group. Please prepare these copies before you arrive. The PWW is not responsible for lost originals or copies. Keep a copy for yourself.
