Tucked away in a quiet street just around the corner from PWW headquarters. Rates start at 95€. This fresh and quirky hotel a few blocks from the Bon Marché department store and Montparnasse Tower feels a bit like an art-school dormitory. The identical rooms are decorated in battleship gray and maroon, with big Kriptonite wall clocks, chunky propellerlike ceiling fans, and metal storage containers. The basement breakfast room blasts you with its primary colors, while in the entry hangs a canvas by graffitist André. There's free Wi-Fi in the rooms and a free Internet computer station in the lobby. Fodor's Review.

Other Options
Alternatives to hotels include: B&Bs (www.goodmorningparis.fr), found on the website of the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau: www.parisinfo.com or vacation rentals. The cost of a studio or 1-bedroom apartment is roughly equivalent to a hotel room, with the advantages of greater privacy and the chance to self-cater. Among the agencies which handle such properties is the English-speaking Bonapart Consulting and Parisian Home.
Arrondissements or districts close to PWW include the 4,5,6,7, and 15.

Another PWW success story!
Natalia Sarkissian (PWW 2006) writes: "Congratulations on your lovely new website. I would love to attend PWW this year, but as a result of last year's short-story workshop with Manette Ansay I was awarded a merit scholarship by Vermont College, where I am currently enrolled! I can safely say it is all thanks to you and your wonderful program that my life has taken a new and unexpected turn."
